Father's Day

Father's Day at SMCT
Father's Day can be a meaningful and emotional time for many people. Whether you're remembering your father, grandfather, partner, son, brother, or another important father figure, we warmly welcome you to spend time in reflection, remembrance and connection at our memorial parks and cemeteries.
“A father’s love becomes a lifelong memory.”
“Those we love never truly leave us. They remain part of who we are.”
“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose.”
For many families, visiting a memorial on Father's Day has become a cherished tradition. Some bring flowers, some share stories, while others simply spend a quiet moment in the gardens reflecting on the memories that continue to shape their lives.
You are not alone. Our spaces are here to support remembrance, reflection and connection with family, friends and community.
A meaningful Father's Day tradition
Each Father's Day, families from across Melbourne visit SMCT memorial parks and cemeteries to honour fathers and father figures who continue to be loved and remembered.
Over the years, visitors have marked the occasion in many different ways, from placing flowers and memorial tributes to spending time together in peaceful garden settings. These moments remind us that while loss changes over time, the bond we share with those we love remains.
Whether your loss is recent or many years ago, Father's Day can be an opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate a life well lived.
