Butterfly Garden dedicated to babies gone too soon

This memorial garden offers a tangible, enduring space for families and their loved ones to acknowledge loss and to be surrounded by love and support.

Included as part of the garden are three sculptures that are dedicated to babies gone too soon, accessed by a winding path that takes visitors on a journey of exploration that evokes the fleeting impermanence of a butterfly – much-wanted, beautiful and gone too soon.

“Forever In My Heart” by Brigitte Dawson

A sculpture created to symbolise a shattered reflection of a future never realised was commissioned by MISS in 2019 with support from an Australian Government grant. Artist Brigitte Dawson used many tiny pieces of broken mirror in the sculpture’s heart shape, which also includes the MISS infinity logo and stones specifically chosen to give anyone standing near the heart the feeling of positive energy, healing, inner peace and compassion to move on with love in their heart.

Chrysalides sculptures

A collection of three extraordinary sculptures serves as a memorial for those who have experienced miscarriage or early pregnancy loss. From the sculpture dedication: A chrysalis carries promise and hope in anticipation of new beginnings, as it holds the growing butterfly in love and support. They protect precious life within and give strength to that which is so vulnerable. As an acknowledgement of those who protected life for too brief a time, these chrysalides honour enduring love and serve as a remembrance for those who have experienced loss. The chrysalides sculptures were designed by Brand Architects and produced by Entanglements. Personalised memorial tokens will soon be available, allowing families to acknowledge their journey on the Chrysalis sculpture. Enquire below to register your interest.
