Join Candice for a monthly slow, reflective walk in nature. A free, safe space to share memories, connect with others, and feel less alone.
Gentle Steps is about creating a welcoming space where memory, legacy, and nature come together to offer comfort and connection. Through walking, fresh air, and shared moments, we hope to restore a sense of ease and peace.
We’ll weave in gentle rituals and opportunities for expression, without the formality of therapy, and welcome all forms of grief: whether it’s the loss of a loved one, anticipatory grief, cultural grief, or even the passing of a beloved pet. Accessibility matters, so we’ll choose flat, paved paths and allow time for seated rests.
What to expect:
Non clinical environment: No therapy - just genuine and gentle human connection
Guided Walk: We’ll stroll together at a slow, inclusive pace. There will be space for quiet moments and natural conversation.
Pause for Reflection: We may stop at a bench, tree, or memorial site to invite silence, grounding breaths, or perhaps a short poem or reading.
Closing Circle: We’ll gather again for up to 20 mins for gentle closure, inviting reflections for those who wish to share. We might include a simple ritual and remind everyone of helpful resources.
Optional Social Time: For those who’d like to stay, we can share tea or coffee at the café after our walk.
