Our phenomenal employee engagement score

Employee engagement score
The collective achievements of our employees at the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) over the past ten years have been significant for our organisation and how we serve the Victorian Community.
Our employees are our greatest asset and we are delighted to announce that this year, in 2020 our employee engagement survey (EES) is 90%. This is a phenomenal achievement as the Australian average EES score is between 65–70%.
Jane Grover, SMCT CEO discusses in the video below how the culture and philosophy of our organisation has been truly demonstrated by our employees over the past few weeks.
Reinventing the role that cemeteries play in meeting the evolving needs of the Victorian community is at the core of our vision - we are achieving this transformation by repositioning memorial parks as community spaces for the living, and by continuing to introduce innovative and exceptional services and facilities such as the Centre for Care & Wellbeing.
Unless we have the right people, the right culture, the right care and respect for each other, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve what we’ve achieved as an organisation. It’s because of the way our employees have worked together as one team, for their amazing dedication, their commitment, their passion and hard work, that we have seen such amazing achievements come into fruition.
We are proud to be adapting our services to the changing needs of our community as we continue to support them into the future.
